Create a Restore Point Before Loading New Software with Windows 7

Microsoft offers a good tool to help in the event newly installed software creates issues on your computer. It is called System Restore.

Follow these instructions to create a new restore point.

Click the Windows Start button
Right Click on My Computer (or Computer)
Click Properties
Click System Protection
Click Create
Name the restore point so you will easily know what it is
Click create
