For Outlook Express:
Use the instructions below to turn off the Outlook Express Preview Pane

Open Outlook Express
Click on View
Click on Layout
Remove the check in "Show Preview Pane"

For Outlook:
Use the instructions below to turn off the Outlook Preview Pane

Click on View
Click on Reading Pane
Turn off

This will help prevent malicious code from running on your computer.
