New micro USB initiative for cell phone chargers

The GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) Association is working on standardizing cell phone chargers.

Several manufacturers and providers have agreed to use the same connection for cell phone chargers.

This should reduce the number of chargers people need, and are expected be meet or exceed a 4 star energy rating.
