Do not fall for email messages which ask for your user name or password.

Don't click on embedded links within an email.

Never put in any personal information to a website you have visited from an embedded email link. (In the event you did click on that link.)

Use different passwords for different accounts.

Do not share your password or secret question with others.

Do not use the "Stay Signed-In" feature on websites.

Make sure you log out of the website before you close the browser.

Clear all information from forms, cache and cookies as often as possible.
